珠海學院根據香港專上學院條例于2004年七月中注冊成立，同年十月獲香港特區行政長官會同行政會議批準，開辦經評審學士學位課程，并可頒授學位。

 

 

 

        學院已于2009年6月獲教育局批屯門東（鄰近舊咖啡灣）土地。同時亦得到香港立法會財務委員會批核免息貸款。珠海學院現已搬入新校園，珠海學院即將翻開歷史的新頁能以良好的環境，先進的設備和強化的師資來為各位服務。

        校長職位工作內容和描述

        Chu Hai College of Higher Education is conducting a global search for suitable candidates for appointment as President of the College to succeed the incumbent Professor C. N. Chang upon his retirement. The Board of Governors of the College invites applications from persons with the relevant qualifications and experience to fill the position.  

 

        The College

        Chu Hai College of Higher Education is a non-profit making self-financing Post Secondary College registered under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance Cap. 320 offering degree courses which have been accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications. It was founded as Chu Hai University in Guangzhou in 1947. Its name in Chinese, literally meaning “pearl sea”, denotes its location by the Pearl River and the vision that its students are as pure as pearl in their endeavours in the sea of knowledge.The College currently offers a total of 14 accredited Bachelor’s degree programmes and 3 Master’s degree programmes which are all fully recognised under the Hong Kong Government Qualification Framework.

 

        The Position

        As the executive head of the College, the President is responsible for its day-to-day administration and is in charge of all aspects of its operation in academic and management matters.  He works under the supervision of the College Supervisor and reports to the Board of Governors which is the governing body of the College.  At the strategic policy level, he works with the Supervisor and the Board of Governors in setting out the overall direction for the administration of the College and its further development. In discharging his executive functions, he oversees and works with the administrative and academic staff in carrying out the missions of the College to achieve the defined performance targets. He is expected to provide leadership and inspiration to the College community in working collectively towards the objective as a world-class tertiary education institution.

 

        The Candidate

        The ideal candidate is required to possess

        • A doctorate degree or comparable qualifications from a reputable academic institution or professional body

        • A high level of  academic achievement with major contributions to teaching and learning

        • Proven strong administrative abilities in the operation of  tertiary education institutions

        • Strong leadership in operating in a cross-cultural academic community with diversified backgrounds

        • A proven track record of resource management in a tertiary education institution

        • A high level of personal integrity, openness, honesty, intercultural sensitivity, inclusiveness, and a caring and respectful approach to all interpersonal relationships
